Brigstowe are recruiting for trustees to join our board!
Come and join an award-winning organisation and help us deliver our vision of a world in which people living with HIV and other long term health conditions live long and healthy lives free from poverty, stigma, prejudice and discrimination.
We are currently looking to appoint up to three new trustees who have any of the following skills/experience/personal characteristics:
Part of an African or Caribbean heritage community, or people who have strong links and affiliations with these communities
HIV knowledge – this could either be gained through being an HIV activist who understands both treatment and rights or through being an HIV clinician
Partnership development and strategic planning
Information Technology
Accountancy and finance
You don’t need previous experience of being a trustee to apply.
We are currently looking to increase the number of people living with HIV on our Board and so welcome applications from people living with HIV.
You would be required to attend trustee meetings which are currently held on Wednesdays every six weeks between 6pm and 7.30pm. You will need to be able to attend both zoom and in person meetings and would also, at times, be required to work outside of meeting hours.
The position is unremunerated but as with all our volunteer roles we offer relevant training, ongoing support and reasonable travel expenses to all volunteers.
